Under the old Oak Tree

Alyssa seated herself beneath the old oak tree, placing her backpack beside her with a sigh. "When will something fun happen?" she murmured to herself. With a shake of her head, she pulled a sketch book from her bag and began to idly doodle.

Toraxu wanders around aimlessly. Skipping Algebra, like he usually does. He was never good at math, and he found it stupid. He sat down where there was a hefty amount of sun, and was out of the way from people in general. He pulled out a book from his bag and began to read, laying back, head on his discarded backpack.

Alyssa began to feel bored, as she'd filled three pages with her random drawings. She heaved a sigh, and placed the sketch book back inside her bag. Slipping her arm through one of the loops, she walked around the tree to head back to her dorm, stopping when she noticed the man reading nearby. "I wonder if he's a student too..." she said to herself. Quietly making her way over to him, she sat down on the grass a few feet away.

"Hello." she said, loud enough to hopefully get his attention.

Toraxu startled from the sudden noise, swearing to himself that there was no one in any general distance to him. He looked over to see a girl, and registered that was the disruptive noise, her greeting. "Hey", He grumbled back in greeting, trying to find the page he lost

Alyssa giggled, slightly amused. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to startle you," she said honestly. She looked off towards the school for a few moments. "Forgive me, I seem to have forgotten to introduce myself." She extended her hand towards him for him to shake.

"Alyssa Cross. And you would be...?"

"Oh...Um. I'm Toraxu. Toraxu Angkalan." He muttered. Still looking for the page he lost "I'm kinda unknown around here. I just prefer to sit and read." Toraxu finally finds the page and continues reading, obviously forgetting the girl is there

"I see." she said, looking off towards the school once again. "It was nice to meet you, Toraxu." With a slight sigh, she picked herself up off the grass, realizing that he really didn't want to be bothered at the moment. She pondered at what she was going to do next.

Toraxu closed the book after finishing the chapter he was on, he stuffed it back into his backpack and then threw something over his face, in an attempt to fall asleep. Finding his attenton focused on something else, he sat up with a growl.

Alyssa, still standing there due to being lost in thought, is slightly startled by the growl. She turns and looks over her shoulder, eyeing him up and down.

"You alright?" she asks, a puzzled expression on her face.

"Yeah. Just peachy". Toraxu rubbed his eyes, failing to pretty much do anything "What time is it anyway? I should probably be getting back to class." Toraxu seems focused on many different things, and twitchy at that. He always seems to be twitching slightly every few minutes.

Alyssa raises her brow at him. "Are you sure you're okay? You're rather twitchy. Is there anything I can do to help?" She readjusted her backpack, leaning to one side, not sure what to think about Toraxu.

Toraxu looked at himself, fining the twitch. He punched his right hand, making it stop "Nope. I'm good. You never told me what time it was you know." The twitch started somewhere else. It's either stress, or he's just a fanatic.

Alyssa shrugged. "I don't have a watch. Sorry." She smirked, shaking her head. "Have you been to your dorm room yet?" she asked, changing the subject. She wondered why he was twitching, and why he punched himself.

"No. Not really." Toraxu replied. "I don't get out of the classrooms much since I'm a junior, so when I can, I spend my time outside, drinking energy drinks and coffee while reading." His right hand looks rather abused. Punching must be his solution to the twitching

Alyssa seemed amused. "I'm a Junior as well. I spend my free time outdoors sitting under the Oak tree, drawing." She pointed behind her, to the said tree. "It's a beautiful spot. Haven't you even unpacked your stuff, though?" she asked, curious.

"Stuff?" Toraxu raised an eye brow and tilted his head, pulling an energy drink out of his backpack. "I dunno what you mean by my stuff. My clothes or my books in my bag?" He opened the can, taking a sip from it, and the twitching worsens as the energy takes effect

"Your clothes. We have dressers in our dorms for a reason." She giggles a bit. "Besides. You look like you could use a nap." She motions towards his twitching and his energy drink. "That can't be healthy."

"Bah! Healthy or not I need it! I never sleep unless I have to." Toraxu finishes the can, and crushes it against his head. He continues to twitch, even if he punches the stupid thing, It moves somewhere else

Alyssa gently takes his hand, pulling him towards the dorms. "Come on, Toraxu. You really should unpack and relax. Please? You really need it." She tugs him again, more urgently this time.

Toraxu grumbles "But....The sun is nice. And it's stuffy in there." He continues to twitch, and he seems really twitchy when you hold onto him. Like hes vibrating, almost. Toraxu grabs his bag "Besides! Clothes can live in a box just fine!" He seems perfectly happy to not go anywhere near there

Alyssa growls, irritated at how stubborn he is. "Just come on. You need it." She tugs him, harder, towards the dorms. How could someone be this stubborn? She didn't quite understand, but it bugged her.

Toraxu stumbles, giving in to at least walking "Fine! I'll go INSIDE but not in those damn dorms!" He seems rather good at avoiding the dorms themselves, having only gone in them a few times to get new clothes on. He grumbles, not liking the way this girl tugs him around. He slings his bag on and sighs.

Alyssa grumbles a bit, frustrated. "Why the hell won't you go in the dorms? What's so bad about them, eh?" She releases him, placing her hands on her hips. "They're just dorms. What is it you don't like about them?!"

Toraxu grumbles "Because they're too STUFFY. I like being outdoors! In the fresh air! Not some smelly room lots of people have used." Toraxu reaches in his bag to look for another energy drink.

Alyssa sighs and shakes her head. "If you say so." Without another word, she turns and makes her way to her dorm.
